Independent Authors don't normally have the opportunity to feature their books at franchised book stores, so I have to seek ways to reach those audiences as well to help promote my book and stories on my author website.
One way I do that is by publishing in popular anthologies that get visibility in those stores. Like many independent authors who have done so in the past, I have chosen to stick with one that works for me: The Chicken Book Series. While I am working on my own fictional work, I also set a goal to publish in different media outlets throughout the year, and this year, I am proud to announce that one of my stories, "Life on the Monkey Bars," will be featured in a Chicken Soup for the Soul Book- Think Possible: 101 Stories about Using a Positive Attitude to Improve Your Life.
In appreciation to my readers, I will be giving away three signed copies every Wednesday on my Facebook social media site, post titled, "Caption This or Write it! Wednesday." This day is dedicated to help aspiring writers get their writing juices going by participating in a small writing exercise.
Winners will be determined based on popularity of likes and/or a judge panel. If you're on Facebook, participants simply need to do the following:
1. Must reside in the U.S.
2. Follow me on Facebook
3. Participate in Wednesday's posts on any of the following days: 9/16, 9/23, or 9/30.
Winners will be mailed a signed copy of the book after its release date: 10/6th! Contest ends by Thursday midnight and winners will be announced on Friday that same week. Today's first entry will go live at 3:30 p.m.
